Dear members of the IEEE PES CS

We have not received any proposal how often you want to hold regular meetings. Therefore the chapter meeting PES CS will be held once a year, always before the general meeting of the section IEEE CS.

This year will be held at 14:30 pm on Friday, October 12, 2010 at FEI STU in Bratislava.

Negotiations will begin in our section 13.00. Room to be announced.

Elections of chapter PES CS Committee will be electronically, just like last year.

If you are unable to personally attend to Bratislava, we ask that you put into Wednesday, December 8

• Have election IEEE CS PES (based on instructions you relieved to your mail)

• sent L31 report about conferences supported by the IEEE CS section and a copy sent to us,

• send us suggestions on the IEEE Awards

• your proposal for the chapter activities in year 2011.

The committee's report CS IEEE PES / 2010-01

Dear members of the IEEE PES CS,

Last year we managed to establish a chapter IEEE CS PES.

Newly elected board at the January meeting discussed the objectives of IEEE CS PES in individual areas for 2010. Details are in the following table

Specific terms are for four conferences, where we were asking for technical sponsorship. In two of them we are co-organizers.

We welcome your comments / suggestions and especially your participation in the professional development section of IEEE CS PES.

At the same time, we request information from you when you participate in other events IEEE. We will make info available to other members on our website http://pes.ieee.cz

IEEE Czechoslovakia PES Chapter

Term of the general meeting of IEEE Czechoslovakia Section was scheduled on Friday, December 4th, in the premises of the Faculty of Information Technology, VUT Brno. General meetings of each Chapter will take place just before the general meeting of the entire section and the participants will be accommodated on the campus with one night paid by section member. General Meeting of IEEE Czechoslovakia PES Chapter will be held on Friday December 4th at 13:00 hours in the premises of the Faculty of Information Technology, VUT Brno, Božetěchova Street

Organization of the chapter committee elections is as follows:

• Deadline for candidate proposals: Nov 15, 2009

• Options: until Dec 4, 2009

Please send your proposal for one or more candidates to the chapter committee. The goal is to extend the temporary three-member committee by newmembers who want to develop IEEE Czechoslovakia PES activities.

IEEE Czechoslovakia PES Chapter

Greetings,

Let me announce that IEEE Czechoslovakia Section Power & Energy Society Chapter was established and the geo-code is CH08646.

Using member reports, we will seek to create a working environment in the expert section.

The first activity resulted in creation of a temporary committee (Petruzela, Dvorsky, Muller), which provides agency until a fair election takes place.

Additionally, our web site was created (http://pes.ieee.cz).

All subjects were related to Technical sponsorship and gradually carried out in cooperation with the CS section committee. There are the following expert events:

· ELECTRIC POWER ENGINEERING 2009     Kouty nad Desnou

· CEEKL (Cyclo Electro Energy Conference) 2009       Louňovice

Reporting two events is a prerequisite for obtaining the contribution to the activities for next year. Therefore, please send us your comments regarding the aforementioned events, in case you have participated. We expect them to be supported by our section for the next year.

• The first IEEE CS PES chapter elections will be held at the autumn meeting of the chapter.

• Section meeting is planned before the annual meeting of the entire CS section, which will take place in Brno, November 4^th or 11^th, 2009.

Please send your ideas regarding the activity of CS IEEE PES in 2010 in order to be approved at the meeting.
